What you get, and the catch
- Best for
- Teams for whom backlink and competitor research is central, and who can work within one included user per plan.
- Watch out
- Every main tier includes only 1 user. Extra users cost $40 to $80 a month each depending on the plan.
The Ahrefs pricing page lists five paid tiers: Starter at $29 a month, Lite at $129, Standard at $249, Advanced at $449 and Enterprise at $1,499, which requires an annual commitment. The page advertises "Pay annually, save up to 17%" but does not print the annual per-month figures next to these prices, so we show them as published without assigning a billing period.
The tiers mainly scale tracked keywords, projects, crawl credits and history:
- Lite: 750 tracked keywords, 100,000 crawl credits, 6 months of history.
- Standard: 2,000 tracked keywords, 500,000 crawl credits, 2 years of history.
- Advanced: 5,000 tracked keywords, 1,500,000 crawl credits, 5 years of history.
All three include 1 user. Extra users are sold per plan: Lite allows 2 more at $40 a month each, Standard 5 more at $60 each, and Advanced 10 more at $80 each. Seats are where Ahrefs gets expensive for teams. Two extra people on Standard add $120 a month.
There is a free Ahrefs account, but the pricing page does not set out its limits, and the trial length is not stated.
For one user: $129 a month on Lite. For three users on Standard: $369 a month ($249 plus 2 × $60). Compare it in the SEO tools category.
