Vendors and advertising

You can pay to be evaluated. You cannot pay for where you land.

Always free

  • Correcting a price, plan limit or feature on your profile. Send a link to your public pricing page and we will check it and fix it.
  • Being considered for a category. We add products on merit and on whether their prices can be read at source.
  • Telling us a comparison is unfair. If the evidence supports you, the page changes and the change is logged.

What you can pay for

A paid evaluation: we review your product against the same published criteria as every other tool in its category, and if we can, we run it ourselves so the profile can carry the "tested" label. The fee pays for the time. It does not decide the result.

A labelled sponsored placement: a clearly marked slot outside any ranked list or register, with its link carrying rel="sponsored". It never appears inside a comparison table.

We are a new publication and will not quote traffic figures we cannot back up. Ask, and you will get the real numbers with a date, or be told we do not have them yet.

Never for sale

  • A position in any list, register or comparison.
  • A verdict, a "best for" line, or a recommendation.
  • Removing or softening a limitation, a price increase or a seat cap.
  • Seeing or approving a page before it is published.
  • A badge, seal or "featured on" licence to use in your own marketing.
  • An unmarked link. Every paid link is labelled in the text and in the markup.

If a campaign depends on any of these, we are the wrong site for it and will say so.

Why this helps you

People comparing software for their team are good at spotting paid rankings, and they discount the whole page when they find one. A profile on a site that cannot be bought is worth more to you than a top slot on one that can.
