What you get, and the catch

- Teams whose communication is mostly scheduled calls with customers or colleagues, especially calls longer than 40 minutes.
- Watch out
- Meeting size defaults to 100 participants on Pro; larger meetings need Business or the Large Meeting add-on.

Pro includes 10 GB of cloud recording storage per user. Business adds single sign-on via SAML 2.0 and managed domains. Enterprise pricing is not printed, and the page gives two different participant figures for it (1,000 on the plan card, "500+" in the comparison table).
The Basic tier is limited to 40-minute meetings, and the page we read did not print a price for it, so we have not labelled it free. Zoom's FAQ says every plan allows up to 100 participants by default, rising to 1,000 with a Large Meeting add-on.
For a small business the decision is usually simple. If calls regularly run past 40 minutes, Pro is the minimum. If you need company-managed sign-on, Business is the minimum. If your main need is everyday chat rather than calls, compare the chat-first tools in this category as well.
